When do you visit Credit Control Division?
- When your account is in arrears and you would like to make arrangement.
- When your water or electricity is disconnected and would like a reconnection.
- To have your Credit Check done when applying for connection of services.
When will my water or electricity be disconnected?
- For residential accounts- when your account is in arrears for 30 days or more.
- For businesses, unfortunately your account is not allowed to be in arrears.
How much do I pay if my water or electricity is disconnected?
- At leas least a minimum of one third (33.33%) of your account if your services are cut off for the first time.
- And 50% second time onward.
- If you had an arrangement and you did not honor it at least a minimum of 50% of your account must be paid.
Who is allowed to make arrangements on his municipal account?
- Any residential customer with a municipal account.
- No arrangements will be done by a person other than the owner of the account.
- No arrangements will be done for business accounts
When will the water and electricity be reconnected after a payment?
- Allow the City of Windhoek up to 48 hours to re-open your services.
Does the Debt Management offer after hour’s services for example reconnection?.
- No there are no after hours services.
