Samples of food are taken to determine food safety. Should you suspect that food poisoning has been contracted, you may request that a food sample be taken to establish the root cause. You will be required to submit a medical certificate confirming a case of food poisoning, a small quantity of the food to be sampled and proof of purchase from a food establishment.
