List of Steps
- 1. Residents interested in urban agriculture can apply or submit concept notes to be considered at Farm Okukuna or other identified land designed for urban agriculture.
- 2. All vacant allotments will be advertised in local print media.
- 3. Applications for vacant allotments will only be accepted and considered after advertisements has been placed in the local printed media.
- 4. Subsequent to the receipt of applications, interviews will be conducted with short-listed candidates for further screening.
- 5. Lease agreement is signed upon the acceptance of an allotment.
Instructions
• Farm Okukuna is a training facility for urban agriculture and crop production located in Goreangab Dam.
• Beneficiaries are identified through constituency Councillors and the Social and Youth Development Division.
• Trainings are provided to identified beneficiaries before an allotment is allocated for gardening purposes.
• Residents interested in backyard gardening are also provided with training and technical assistance and monitoring.
• Residents who are trained as Trainer of Trainers(ToT) are encouraged to train others in the community.
