The main responsibilities of the Health and Environment Services division is:

1. To monitor and control all business activities within the municipal area ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ

2. To safeguard the environment and manage natural resources

3. To prevent and control communicable and non-communicable diseases, coordinate the Municipal Council’s role in disease prevention and control as directed by the Ministry of Health and Social Services.

4. To ensure the safety of food and water within the municipal area

5. To ensure a clean and safe environment

6. To monitor and control Occupational and Hygiene matters
The Health and Environment Services division enforces the Public & Environmental Health Act 1 of 2015 and all the health regulations promulgated in accordance with the Act, namely:
